Diabetes is a metabolic disease cause high blood suger . 

Most commonly types 

Types 1 Diabetes 

A chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin.

Type 1 Diabetes cause by an autoimmune reaction (the body attacks itself mistake) that destroyed the cells in the pancreas that make insulin, called beta cells. This process can go on for months or years before any symptoms appear.

Type 2 Diabetes 

Also called Adult onset diabetes 

A chronic condition that affect the way the body processes blood suger(glucose)

Type 2 diabetes is an impairment in the way the body regulate and uses suger (glucose) as a fuel. This long term (chronic) condition results in too much suger circulating in the blood stream.

Eventually high blood suger levels can lead to disorders of the circulatory , nerves and immune system.

Prediabetes 

Also called : Impaired glucose tolerance 

A chronic condition in which the blood suger is high, but not high enough to type 2 diabetes.

This measure your blood suger after an overnight fast (not eating). A fasting blood suger level of 99mg/dL or lower is normal, 100 to 125mg/dL indicates you have prediabetes and 126mg/dL or higher indicates you have diabetes.

Gestational Diabetes 

Also called: Diabetes during pregnancy

A form of high blood suger affecting pregnant women.

Babies of mothers who have Gestational diabetes have a higher risk of developing obesity and type 2 diabetes later in life.

Stillbirth untreated gestational diabetes can result in a baby's death either before or shortly after birth.
